ECOMMERCE/ RETAIL PLANNER

POSITION SUMMARY

ECOMMERCE/RETAIL PLANNER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MANAGING THE OVERALL SALES AND INVENTORY PERFORMANCE OF THE ECOMMERCE AND RETAIL STORES. THE PLANNER WILL PARTNER WITH THE ECOMMERCE, OPERATIONS, AND MERCHANDISING TEAMS TO DEVELOP AND ACHIEVE FINANCIAL GOALS USING TOPS DOWN AND BOTTOMS UP PLANNING WHILE REPORTING TO THE DIRECTOR OF PLANNING.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • BUILDING SALES BUDGETS
    • CREATE AND MANAGE THE MERCHANDISE TOPS DOWN / BOTTOMS UP PRE-SEASON SALES, GROSS MARGIN, AND INVENTORY PLANS AT THE DEPT/CLASS LEVEL BY WEEK
  • MANAGING THE OPEN TO BUY
    • PREPARE AND PRESENT A MONTHLY OPEN-TO-BUY WITH ACTION PLANS TO THE SENIOR LEADERSHIP TEAM
    • WORK CROSS FUNCTIONALLY IN-SEASON WITH ECOMMERCE, MERCHANDISING, AND FINANCE TO DEVELOP CLASS LEVEL FORECASTS FOR SALES, MARGIN, RECEIPTS, TURN, AND INVENTORY.
  • PREPARE AND DRIVE REPORTING AT THE CHANNEL/PRODUCT LEVEL TO BE PRESENTED AT CROSS-FUNCTIONAL MEETINGS
    • WEEKLY PERFORMANCE RECAPS
    • MTD/QTD/YTD RECAPS
    • LY SEASON REVIEW
  • WORKING WITH THE CROSS-FUNCTIONAL TEAM TO RECOMMEND AND EXECUTE COMPREHENSIVE STRATEGIES TO MAXIMIZE SALES BASED ON PERFORMANCE RECAPS
  • ASSIST THE DIRECTOR OF PLANNING IN HIGH PROFILE PROJECTS
  • STORE PLANNING
    • CREATE AND MANAGE THE STORE LEVEL TOPS DOWN / BOTTOMS UP PRE-SEASON SALES, GROSS MARGIN, AND INVENTORY PLANS BY CHANNEL BY WEEK
    • CREATE STORE OPENING INVENTORY PLANS BASED ON SQUARE FOOTAGE AND FIXTURING
    • CREATE AND MANAGE STORE LEVEL KPIS SUCH AS TRAFFIC, AVERAGE DOLLAR TRANSACTIONS, AVERAGE UNIT TRANSACTIONS
    • UPDATE OPERATIONAL CALENDAR (FLOOR SET DATES / MD DATES / PROMOTIONS)
    • CREATE DAILY STORE PLANS TO DISTRIBUTE TO THE STORE MANAGERS
  • ECOMMERCE PLANNING
    • CREATE AND MANAGE SITE LEVEL KPIS SUCH AS TRAFFIC, AVERAGE DOLLAR TRANSACTIONS, AVERAGE UNIT TRANSACTIONS
    • CREATE DAILY SITE PLANS TO REVIEW PERFORMANCE DAILY TO LEVERAGE STRATEGIES FOR THE BALANCE OF THE WEEK
    • REVIEW AND MANAGE ONLINE/OFFLINE PRODUCT

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • BACHELOR’S DEGREE
  • MINIMUM OF 5 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN THE APPAREL INDUSTRY
  • STRONG ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS WITH THE ABILITY TO MULTI-TASK WHILE ADHERING TO STRICT DEADLINES
  • PREVIOUS JOB ROLE WITH OPEN TO BUY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • ADVANCED ABILITY IN MS OFFICE APPLICATIONS WITH AN EMPHASIS ON EXCEL
  • EXCELLENT WRITTEN AND VERBAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS
  • MUST BE DETAIL ORIENTED
